Directions

From Auckland take State Highway (SH) 1 on the Southern Motorway to Pokeno, turn left onto SH2 and follow the signs to Thames via SH25.

Just after crossing the long Kopu Bridge turn right at the roundabout following signs to Tairua and Whangamata. 800metres further turn left on SH25A.

Follow SH25 through Tairua for approximately 20 minutes till you arrive at the small settlement of Whenuakite.

Turn right at signs for Hahei and Hot Water Beach, then left at Purangi Road following directions to Flaxmill Bay and Ferry Landing.

We are 1 kilometre past the turnoff to Cook’s Beach on Purangi Road.
